PITCHER
i want to be the pitcher on my softball more than anything I'm working so hard and right now i want nothing else. i practice all the time and Sunday at practice the coach had me pitching to a couple of the girls on my team!i was awesome! i hope i get to be one of the common pitchers and i hope for 3rd base to its another one of my favs!

If you want to be a pitcher you should go for it! Pitchers and catchers practice year round. I loved that. It is a lot of work! But worth it. If I had not been a catcher, I would have been a third baseman too! At third you need to have a strong arm, which I do. And you get a lot more grounders at third than at first. And the third baseman is usually the closest to the batter and so the grounders are quick and fast. It is a great position!
ReplyDeleteAfter college I played slow pitch for quite a few years. I played 1st for slow pitch. I got a lot more action at 1st base than as a catcher. I am playing slow pitch softball again this spring and I have not played for 2 years. I feel really rusty and out of shape. But it will be good for me. Keep up the good work! I love hearing about how your softball stuff is going! And anything else you are interested in!
